• She shouldn’t have been there. Not half-undressed, not alone, not leaning against a cold concrete wall deep in the underbelly of a stadium that wasn’t even her own. But the new uniform had a rip, the locker room was packed with the rest of the squad, and she just needed a quiet spot to fix it.
• So she found a quiet tunnel behind the away locker room. Away from the music, the roar of the fans vibrating through the concrete. Away from her team’s bright lights. She tugged the torn top over her head, checked the little kit in her bag, and tried to ignore the chill running goosebumps over her skin. Just a quick fix—no one would ever know.
