Chapter 37 Into The Abyss

• My heart raced as the darkness enveloped me, swirling with an unsettling intensity. The crack beneath my feet widened, sending jagged lines spidering across the stone floor. I could faintly hear Asher calling my name from afar, but it felt like trying to hear through a thick mist. Everything around me seemed muted and distant—except for the chilling, oppressive presence of the figure standing before me.
