• The maids and guards threw confused and nervous glances at each other as Evelyn sped past them into the house and made her way up the stairs to Matteo's office.
• The two guards standing close to Matteo's office door rushed to her immediately they spotted her coming towards the office. "Ma'am, you can't go in right now. The Boss is busy." they both held their hands out to block her path. "We'll let him know that you are back."
• "Are you joking with me right now?" Evelyn glared, her eyes looking back and forth at the two guards. Her stomach twisted with the thought that they didn't even expect her to come back, she realized that they all had the same expression when they saw her, the atmosphere was different.
