• "It's hard to believe Cassian really left the pack for a mission without letting me know," I stopped eating and said to Kate. It's been two days now, and Cassian hasn't returned. Of course, his absence should mean peace of mind, but it scared me more because he didn't even bother to let me know, which was deeply unusual.
• "I spoke to Jace. He said he will be away for one week. Five more days and he would be back. Have you missed him already?" Kate asked, pressing a smile to her chin.
