Chapter 16 Day One

• Camilla's POV
• It was early in the morning when the door creaked open and Kate entered, carrying a large tray piled high with food. Her face lit up with excitement as she walked toward me, and it felt as though she had been preparing the meal for hours.
• As the door slammed shut behind her, I sat up in bed and watched her approach. The aroma of the food was enticing, but my mind was still troubled. I couldn’t stop thinking about what had happened to me the night before.
