  • Having been busy from morning until now, Grace couldn’t stifle a yawn as she nestled in Christopher’s embrace. “You must be tired, yes? If so, just nap for a bit.” Christopher thoughtfully took a thin blanket and draped it over her. Grace was indeed dead tired, so she didn’t continue pursuing the matter of the mysterious surprise but quickly dozed off in his arms.
  • When she woke up, it was already dusk, and the sun was setting. Red streaks of light shone down from the sky on the west, illuminating a cornfield that stretched far beyond the eye. The green cornfield seemed to have been deliberately colored by a painter, a faint blush of red standing out among the green. Having been living in the city for several months, she was momentarily entranced. She rubbed her eyes as she gazed out the car window, not quite believing her eyes. “Where are we, hubby?”
