However, Ning Shaochen kept his head down as he munched on his food, as if he hadn’t heard her.
• Shen Beiyi frowned over the awkwardness of the situation. It seems like what happened last night was indeed a dream, she thought as she left for another table. After putting down her kit, she got herself some food and proceeded to dig in despite everything, for her mood would never have affected her appetite, which was a strong suit of hers.
• Ning Shaochen had finished off his meal when she was half-way through hers and had left for some place outdoors, without even sparing her a glance throughout the process. Liu Xu followed suit, but his gaze lingered between Ning Shaochen and Shen Beiyi before shaking his head in defeat.
