• Evelyn's POV
• I looked Seth straight in the eye, my voice firm and unyielding. "Seth, let's get one thing clear," I said, my words dripping with finality. "I've been with Dylan ever since you left Jupiter Pack with Veronica. We've been together, and I'm happy with him."
• Seth's face froze, his eyes wide with shock and disappointment. I could see the last glimmer of hope in his eyes extinguished, like a candle flame snuffed out by a cold breeze. He looked like he had been punched in the gut, his breath knocked out of him.
