Evelyn's POV
"Evelyn, you don't have to leave. You can stay here. Besides, Seth is not going to stay in this house with you because he's not welcome. I don't care if he's my son or not because I refuse to be a mother to someone who is heartless, reckless and irresponsible. If it was because I let you share a room with him before then you don't have to worry about that, I'll never bring that up again," she continued to implore, making my stomach twist in guilt.
I really wished I could listen to her just this time and stayed but I wanted an out in my marriage with Seth. I was tired of being tied down to someone like him. After everything he did, I couldn't picture myself spending another year while being his wife.
