• Dylan looked at me for a while without saying a word but even if he didn't admit it, I already knew that everything that happened in that room was a performance. He had invited me to the birthday for a reason and it wasn't because he wanted to be there but because had to clear something.
• Something that had to do with his relationship with Celine. Whatever it was that he had with her was definitely something he wanted to end. He had used my presence and made a public announcement of his relationship with me to clear the air of his engagement with Celine.
