• Ever since that crazy moment that we shared on the couch, I hadn’t been able to look Adonis in the eye again.
• It was like crossing a line we both knew we shouldn’t have, and now we were trapped on opposite ends of it, pretending nothing had happened, pretending we didn’t nearly tear each other’s clothes off in a fit of lust and rage on his family couch.
• I don’t even remember the movie anymore. Just the way his mouth felt on mine. The weight of him pressing me into the cushions. The way my skin had buzzed like I had been electrocuted from the inside out. And then the look in his eyes when I pushed him away.
