• I have been standing outside Emma's apartment door for about fifteen minutes. I can't seem to get up the nerve to knock, knowing the mother of my child and my mate are both behind that door. I haven't seen Eryn since the Council meeting. She is avoiding me like the plague, staying hidden in Emma's apartment. I bet she didn't think I would have the balls to show up here.
• I raise my hand to knock on the door when it swings open. Emma is standing there in an oversized t-shirt and a pair of panties. She looks like she has been up all night crying.
