• I am panting heavily when I finally make it back to my room. Atticus left me behind on the trail, and I ran faster than I thought I could, trying to catch up with him. There was so much I wanted to say to him. Mostly, I wanted to apologize for turning down his kiss. But I couldn't catch him. Despite his size, he is impossibly fast.
• Twisting my key in the lock, I press the door open, and once again, I am met with the sounds of sex. Jackson is in between Cassie's legs, moaning loudly.
