Chapter 110
- Alpha Alexander’s POV
- I paced back and forth in my room, the weight of the day's events heavy on my shoulders. Despite the turmoil within me, a nagging voice urged me to seek out Vanessa, to apologize for my cold demeanor and explain the chaos that had consumed me. It doesn't justify anything, but I hoped she would understand. However, I resisted the urge, knowing it wasn't fair to burden her with my own internal struggles. A lingering sense of shame at my earlier behavior held me back.
- Instead, I focused on regaining control of my emotions, pushing aside the anger and frustration that threatened to consume me. It was Cyrus's fault, I reminded myself bitterly, for disrupting the fragile peace that had briefly settled over me. Despite the awe-inspiring beauty that surrounded me, I found little solace in the grandeur of the palace. My thoughts were consumed by a seething hatred for Cyrus, whose scheming machinations threatened to unravel everything I held dear.
