Chapter 23 Twenty Three

• When Jake finally bought everything he needed, his friend, Joey, drove him back home. Even though he was already very late for his appointment, Joey was never one to leave anyone halfway. Besides, they'd been friends since childhood, and they had always been very close and helpful to each other. There was nothing they wouldn't do for each other, even though they may grumble while doing it.
• And grumbling was what Joey did quite a few times as he helped Jake offload what he had bought. Still, he finished the task before driving away.
• Meanwhile, Sarah Garcia was right inside her room all along, with no idea of the fact that both boys were outside offloading what Joey had bought. It was only when Joey opened the door and walked in that she stepped out of her room to see who it was.
