Chapter 14 Fourteen
- Ben's eyes were drawn to his left side mirror as he switched lanes. Even though everything seemed fine, something stood out to him. He'd come a long way from his home already, but there was a particular blue car that he always saw. The car never came very close, but it was constantly following him. Or was he just being too paranoid, he wondered. Or, who knows, perhaps the car was following someone else.
- With this thought as consolation, he drove on until he arrived at his destination: a sophisticated membership only gym. This was where he kept himself in shape a few times a week. After parking in the lot, he stepped out of his car and walked through the revolving doors into the facility. Then he went straight to his locker to change into his gym wear.
- His favourite section was the dumbbell and bench press section. But as he approached the bench he usually employed for his exercise activities, he noticed that a pair of boys were seated on both ends of it. Well, kids of these days, he thought to himself as he sat down in the middle of the bench. He was determined to ignore them and do what he had come for.
