Chapter 17 Seventeen

• "Ha," Jake sighed in frustration as he walked back into the living room. He had run after Ama barefooted. Since he failed to catch her, he knew that the relationship was over and done with. Someone like Ama would never take back her words. God knows, she had given him enough opportunity to take her side throughout the argument, but he simply refused.
• Seeing Sarah still seated in the living room the same way he had left her when he ran after his girlfriend, Jake couldn't help but feel a surge of anger in his heart. Sarah and Sarah alone was the cause of all these! But then, his anger quickly dissipated when he remembered what he did to her not long ago. He wouldn't dare confront and accuse her of destroying his relationship. The moral right he required to do that was just not there.
