Chapter 87 The Transformation

• After her first major heartbreak, Tory got inspired to come up with her own clothing line. Ever since design school, she's been designing her own clothes anyway. Why not make them mainstream and sell them to whoever wants the clothes? Her friends had been supportive of her and worn several of her dresses to their parties, so she knew that these women were not joking when they said they liked it. They liked it enough to be caught dead in it, so that was a good sign.
• At home, they patted her head and said, 'That's nice, sweetie,' when she told her family about her plans, but nothing was stopping her. Tory would not let their lackluster approval bring her down. The only people who were genuinely happy for her were her nanny, the maids she always talked to, and her bodyguard.
• She plunged herself into her designs. Drawing, erasing, re-drawing, and tossing out designs she did not seem to fit her style. Good thing she was at home because she had the maids and her family to remind her to take breaks and eat food. From time to time, her mother would come by with a derisive remark to ridicule her about her little project, which only made her work harder. She was going to show them what she could do, and then they would finally see her for who she was, not just their princess to be kept in the house for their amusement.
