• ‘So, Clara, I know you’re my older sister, and thank you for looking out for me, but I want to make my own decisions regarding Max,’ Celine heads over and gives him a fierce hug. She wanted to show the world that they belonged together.
• ‘Max, I heard everything you said, and I don’t care if you’re an orphan. You took care of my sister all these years, and that makes all the difference. You’ve been coming to see me every weekend. And it really showed me how dedicated you are to our relationship.’ Celine brings her hands up to his face. ‘And I love you. I won’t ever let anyone come between us. I’m stubborn just as you are, and I will never let go of something as beautiful as what we have.’
• ‘Oh, Celine… I love you too… I’m sorry about earlier.’ He kisses her passionately. ‘You see why I did what I did earlier? It was because of Clara and this enormous secret we have.
