• Dante surveyed the party, if the woman he was waiting for was a no show again, he would have to go home with one of these socialites, or another of the gold diggers, and he was growing tired of their banter and shallow minded conversations about who’s wearing who and what new purse or make up they are trying out and buying at the mall this weekend. Sure, they were fun in bed, but when they expected expensive gifts in return, it became too much.
• Since he expressed his feelings for Celine, she has been elusive. He thought it was a shoo-in. When she moved to the city, he showed her the ropes at school. He thought she would jump in his lap readily and willingly, but so far, in the four years that he’s known her, the only time he managed to see her was at these boring corporate parties that their parents attended.
