• Wren's POV
• For a moment, the room was still, like the stillness of the forest before a predator strikes. The warriors were more wolves than humans at this point, and they were standing between me and my only chance of escape.
• One of the warriors stepped forward, I bared my canines at him and let out a growl. I was like a damsel in distress except there was no knight with shining armor to save me. It also didn't help that my head felt like one big ball of cloud.
