Vanessa woke up feeling a little bit energetic for some reason. She hadn't felt that fit in a long time. It was like an electric current buzzing beneath her skin, making her feel alive. She wondered if Alexander had injected her with supplements while she was asleep.
She blinked away the sleep in her eyes and rolled over, expecting to see Alexander's sleeping form next to her. But the space beside her was cold and vacant. She sighed in defeat; these days, Alexander was never next to her each time she awoke in the morning.
Alexander had been so busy with pack-related matters, and Vanessa could not help him yet as she was yet to be officially his Luna. They had hoped to make it official after their little one had been born.
