Chapter 36

• Sophie paced around her room with tablet in hand, she was feeling bored and lonely but she had no idea what to do or where to go. Melanie had gone on a private trip today, so she couldn’t accompany here, and of course she had taken Mike with her half of the day.
• Speaking of Mike, Sophie hadn’t seen him all day. While of course he was busy working, it almost felt like he was avoiding her. Ever since the scene at the mall with Mr. Steel, their vibe has been off, he didn’t even text her and as bad as she wanted to, she fought the urge to text him first.
• Sophie’s thoughts were disrupted by the knock on the door. She furrowed her eyebrows as she wasn’t expecting anyone, it had to be almost eight pm, and Melanie although being her boss would have called before coming over to her room.
