Chapter 6 Mr Lu Said to Beat Her to Death!

  • Su Yao was left stunned.
  • She ordered someone to hit Zhou Tong? Impossible!
  • She instinctively looked over at Abby, who was standing a distance away, silently looking at her with pitiful eyes.
  • Su Yao knew that this must be another one of Lu Licheng's punishments towards her.
  • She was afraid that for the rest of her life, she would have to live in his relentless, never-ending revenge.
  • Su Yao walked up to abby. "May I trouble you to please relay a message to Lu Licheng?I'll accept any punishment he gives to me, but it's just as I said - I didn't do it."
  • Abby nodded. "I'll let him know.
  • "Also, there's something I'd like to ask you to help me do. Could you please check the security footage from that night? It definitely will prove my innocence."
  • "Alright," replied Abby. "I'll investigate it. I'll let you know if I find anything."
  • "Thank you, Abby."
  • Su Yao raised her head and glanced up at the second floor window with a longing gaze.
  • Lu Licheng, I don't regret loving you. You're just blinded by lies. I'll wait for the day that you discover the truth.
  • She spun around and righteously got in the police car.
  • Having lived twenty years, Su Yao didn't leave behind a thing. The only she had was that certificate of emancipation.
  • ............
  • Inside the women's prison, the rooms weren't considered bright and spacious. They were moderate in size and held eight people.
  • Su Yao's limbs were tied down with heavy chains. Her crime was originally arbitrary in nature and she wouldn't have to stay in prison, but she was given the 'special' treatment.
  • "Hurry it up. Quit dilly-dallying. You must still think that you're a princess of the house..." She heard the CO say impatiently behind her, as she felt a hand push her forward. Su Yao lost her footing and slipped hard into the prison cell.
  • "Pfffft!" She heard a woman laugh. "Now you know how it feels to fall flat on your face! Hahaha!"
  • Su Yao slowly looked up.
  • There were six or seven women standing and sitting in the cell. They all had short hair and prison uniforms on. One of the them was over thirty years old, butch, and had an evil smirk on her face. She was looking right at her with a hostile look on her face.
  • "Su Yao?" Scoffed a woman who got to her feet and walked over. She stepped right on Su Yao's hand and twisted it violently twice.
  • She immediately felt a piercingly painful sensation from her hand!
  • "You're Su Yao, right? I hear that you're some kind of princess of a company?"
  • A trickle of cold sweat fell from Su Yao's forehead, as she bit her lips in silence.
  • "What's with you, princess? Why're you acting all high and mighty? You ended up in this rotten cell just like us." The other tanned woman rolled her eyes. "There's no segregation of wealth in here. You look arrogant, like you look down on people," she said in frustration.
  • Su Yao felt set up and hard done by. She'd only just joined, so when did she look down on them?
  • All of a sudden, someone pulled on her hair, forcing Su Yao to raise her head and look at her.
  • The woman resembled a fierce wolf, as she viciously said, "I doesn't matter who you were before. Now that you're here, you have to follow the cell rules. Otherwise, I show you what's a life worse than death!"
  • The suddenly swung her hand and Su Yao's head slammed hard onto the ground. A trickle of blood fell from her forehead.
  • When the woman saw the blood, a tinge of panic flashed across her eyes. The message she received was that an important person wanted a woman punished for their getting on their bad side. But even so, there was a bottom line to their treatment and she couldn't kill her.
  • She instinctively glanced at the guard, standing at the door. The guard caught a glimpse of the blood on Su Yao's head and coldly turned away as if they hadn't seen a thing!
  • In most cases, fights weren't allowed in the prison. Whenever guards saw one happen, they would severely punish the attacker. But not only did this guard not reprimand her or stop, they actually pretended that she didn't see anything!
  • Everyone was suddenly surprised. It looked like this woman really offended an important person!
  • The woman started to get even braver, as she violently kicked Su Yao in the stomach. "Quit playing dead! Take off all your clothes and stand in the toilet for an hour!" She yelled.
  • Su Yao's mind went blank, as she stared at her in confusion.
  • "You don't understand what you have to do?" The woman sniggered. "That's the rule. Every new person has to do it. Hurry up, get in and strip! Stand in the corner for an hour."
  • "I'm not doing it." Su Yao got to her feet and looked directly at her. "Where the hell did this rule come from?"
  • "I'm the boss around her. What I say, goes!" The tall woman looked clearly pissed off, as she pointed at Su Yao's nose. "Are you going or not?"
  • "I won't go!"
  • There was a crisp *Slap!* sound. Su Yao was struck on the face.
  • The others who watched for fun earlier, instantly swarmed over and started kicking and punching her.
  • In the chaos of it all, Su Yao felt a searing pain on her scalp when someone yanked her hair. She couldn't tell what was a punch or a kick whilst she was viciously attacked over and over again. In the quiet prison cell, the sound of repeated slapping across her face never stopped.
  • *Slap slap*
  • The commotion in the cell was so loud that it immediately attracted the attention of several guards.
  • Two or three guards stood at the door with tasers in hand but they smirked as if they hadn't seen a thing, and watched on with entertained looks on their faces.
  • Su Yao wanted to beg for help but after she saw them, her heart completely ran cold!
  • She heard the faint sound of the guards' conversations. "Will it be okay to continue beating her like this? They're too rough. What do we do if she gets beaten to death?"
  • Another guard scoffed and spoke without a care in the world. "What's there to be afraid of? Orders up top told us it's fine as long as she's beaten till her last breath."
  • "Tsk tsk. This woman doesn't look very important. Just who in the hell did she piss off?"
  • "Who calls the shots in Linyi?"
  • "Lu Licheng?" A gasp was heard and the sound of their conversation quietened down.
  • At the same time, Su Yao's heart ran cold!
  • Lu Licheng - those three words made her heart feel like it was struck hard by a hammer, shattering all the bones in her limbs.
  • It's fine as long as she's beaten till her last breath.
  • Su Yao wished that she was deaf so she didn't have to hear that sentence.
  • She didn't dare believe it. The man who she traded her life to love, said that.
  • Over ten minutes later, the women were finally tired from beating her up. They viciously kicked the limp Su Yao on the floor one last time, and called an end to it.
  • This was over now, but there would be a next time and a time after that. It would go on until she left that place.
  • Su Yao gently moved her finger tips and suddenly felt a sharp wave of pain. Her entire body felt like it was going to fall apart. She couldn't move an inch.
  • Su Yao quietly looked at the small puddle of blood in front of her. The blood shone brightly, showing a reflection of her image.
  • She'd lost quite a lot of hair on the left of her head, revealing patches of white scalp. Her face was red and swollen, and there wasn't a hint of her striking facial features left.
  • She had no idea what had become of her body.
  • Su Yao didn't want to think about it, nor did she dare.
  • In all the twenty years of her life, she'd never been treated like that by someone before.
  • In two short days, she fell from heaven. From a delicate princess, she became a dirty, down and out beggar.
  • All this happened just because she fell in love with a man.
  • In that very moment, Su Yao finally knew just how Lu Licheng wanted to punishe her.
  • He didn't want her dead. He wanted her to suffer.
  • Suffer the pain of being misunderstood! Of being called names! Of being hit!
  • Of being abandoned by my family!
  • He wanted Su Yao to live in hell every day to atone for her crimes against Zhou Tong.
  • The pain resembled swarms of small ants, nibbling at her bones and biting every inch of her skin.
  • Having not made a peep earlier, Su Yao's mouth slightly gaped and spat out two words as soft as snow. "It hurts..."
