Chapter 4

• Jett felt a bit strange saying something like that. It was his first time to say such cheesy words but he felt good especially Ashley’s eyes were on him. They looked shocked but still beautiful. He smiled to himself. Actually what he said was exactly how he really felt. He might get used to this.
• "Let’s have dinner, Love. What do you want to eat?" he asked in a throaty voice.
• "Go find someone else who wants your nonsense talk Mr. Alejandre." she said with a clipped tone before walking again. He was about to stop her when he stopped in his tracks.
• "Jett! Jett! " called a female’s voice full of giddiness.
• He uttered a bad word when he saw four women were running towards him. Ashley took advantage of the situation. Before he knew it, she was getting in her car then drove away.
• With a heavy sigh, he raked his hand through his hair when the women surrounded him.

• “Oh my gosh Ash! Look at our schedule! This is the first time we got so many clients! "Kat’s happy and shrill voice echoed in the room.
• She was busy preparing her things for a pre-nuptial shoot. Driving long-distance wasn’t her cup of tea but she had no choice.
• “Let’s thank our lucky stars that though you turned Jett down, we still have tons of work. Imagine if you did his job order for sure we will have more clients!”
• Ashley heaved a sigh after zipping the camera bag. "Gee thanks for reminding me Katherine. I’d rather forget that bad day!”
• "You are overreacting! If other women were in your shoes, they would willingly do it even for free! Don’t you find him attractive? Are you frozen like Elsa? “ Kat joked.
• Ashley was spared from retorting when the door opened and Kat’s ex-boyfriend Clyde came in.
• "Hello beautiful ladies!" He greeted them in his usual jolly voice.
• "Hi! Good morning Clyde! Thanks again for agreeing to come with me. I really appreciate it." Ashley smiled at him when he got the bag with camera and other stuff for the shoot. She felt Kat frowned so she supressed a giggle.
• "No problem Ash, I am happy that I can help my sweetheart’s best friend even if it’s three hour- drive one way.” He said with a grin and Kat clucked.
• Ashley and Clyde just beamed at each other.
• "We better go Clyde before your sweetheart becomes a dragon ready to breathe fire. “ she said with a light laugh.
• (Jett’s POV)
• His forehead creased. His cousin’s fiancée just told him that Ashley arrived at the venue with a man.
• "Now I know why you were willing to pay a fortune. Ashley is really very pretty. I think this is the first time you did something like this. I can't blame you though." said Rina with a hint of amusement in her voice.
• He said though gritted teeth, “I need you to do something for me..."
• His jaw was clenched when he hung up. His breathing became like gasps. Heat came up his face and he wanted to do something violent. He balled one of his hands and raked his hair with the other as he looked out the balcony.
• Luis, the groom was his cousin. He told him to do a last-minute cancellation with their event photographer and of course he offered to give the payoff. He wanted to see Ashley so he asked Luis to hire her in lieu of the original photographer. His cousin knew him well so he didn’t protest. He probably felt that Ashley was special to him. It had been a few days since he last saw her. He did his best to leave her alone for a while. He wanted her to cool down a bit. He had to take it slowly. Anyway sooner or later, she would be his. Ashley was worth the wait. Then he remembered that she was here with a trash. He couldn’t help but cuss. He was in the hotel of the resort where the wedding ceremony would be held and he was just planning to watch Ashley from afar but now he changed his mind.
• (Ashley’s POV)
• She was in the café of the hotel with Clyde waiting for the client so they could discuss the photos.
• "Ash can I leave you for a while? Are you going to be okay? We won’t be leaving until 4 PM, right? “ asked Clyde.
• She just nodded while her eyes were on the monitor of her laptop. She knew he wanted to smoke. He said thanks and left her before making sure she was going to be okay. A few moments passed when she heard a female voice. She raised her face and smiled at Rina and Luis. They sat at the table with her.
• "The photos are really great! I will just finish editing the video tomorrow. Then we are all set. Please check these.” She showed her laptop to the couple.
• Rina eagerly looked at the photos while Luis eyes were on her. He had odd expression.
• "Babe, this one is so nice, don’t you think so?" Rina asked her fiance.
• Luis finally looked at the laptop. While the couple were talking about the photos, she was busy with her camera. She was taken aback by Rina's question.
• "Ash I hope you don't mind my question. Why did you choose photography? You can be the model instead. “
• She chewed the inside of her cheek. It wasn’t not the first time that she was asked that question. "I prefer a quiet life." she said with a light laugh.
• The couple grinned. They probably know what she meant.
• "Are you single?" Rina added and she just nodded while adjusting the lens of her camera.
• "Have you dated a male model?" It was Luis who asked this time.
• She threw him a glance then his eyes went back to her camera before she shook her head. "No. Most male models are womanizers." She said with a small smile.
• She didn't see the couple exchanged glances but they didn’t say anything anymore. She was thankful that they seemed busy checking the photos and video.
• After several moments Rina spoke again."Hmm Ash? Is it okay if we redo some shots?”
• "S-Sure. But what's wrong?" she asked with a slight frown.
• "I want to use different dresses for these. Take a look." Rina moved the laptop to her.
• She bit her bottom lip. It was almost 4 PM and it would take a lot of time if they had to redo the shoot. She was worried that the lighting would be affected.
• "Since it will be dusk in two hours why not stay in the hotel tonight so you don’t need to drive here again tomorrow. We can get a room for you and tomorrow morning we can do the shoot again." The bride -to -be suggested.
• She nipped her lower lip. The suggestion sounded practical. Clyde couldn’t drive her tomorrow because he had to go to work. It was a good thing that she had extra clothes because she knew this kind of thing could happen especially out-of-town photo shoots. She just agreed with Rina’s offer.

• She was looking at her watch. It had been an hour since she came up her room. She messaged Clyde t to tell him he could leave without her because Luis offered to drive her home tomorrow. She was feeling a bit worried because he hadn’t messaged her back. She sighed in relief when after a few moments he finally replied.
• From Clyde:
• Okay. I will leave your car at Kat’s.
• She had time to explore the resort before dusk. She went out of her room and went to the beach. She was wearing a pair of white shorts and black tank top and she had white beach sandals on but she decided to take them off to feel the sand on her feet. It wasn’t white but it was powdery and felt good on her sole. Her beach sandals on one of her hands , she walked while giggling a little. She liked the breeze on her face and hair and she was actually enjoying this. Staying overnight in a place like this was heaven. She regretted not putting a swimwear in her overnight bag. She frowned and stopped walking when she saw a familiar face walking towards her.
• What on earth is this player doing here? She asked herself.
• Jett’s eyes were full of desire as he watched her. His right shoulder was leaning on a coconut tree which was a little far from her. He was not aware of the women who were throwing him glances. They liked what they were seeing. He was bare-chested and had a bull’s cap on. His lips formed a thin line because men in the beach were checking Ashley out and he didn't like that but he needed to keep his cool for the mean time. He couldn't afford making her angrier with him. He had a smile on his handsome face as he came towards her.
• She had a glimpse of his chiselled body with beautiful tattoos. This badass womanizer was really a walking dream for most women but not for her . He wasn’t the kind of boyfriend she would want to introduce to her family as a boyfriend. She shook her head a little to delete that thought .She couldn't even be thinking like that. Jett Alejande being her man was not likely to happen. She was not stupid to be taken by his charms. She didn’t want to lose her innocence to this man who obviously only wanted her in his bed. He was a Casanova and the king of immorality. He was just not the man for her. Three women were looking at him with admiration but he seemed unaware of them because his eyes were on her.
• "Hi Love, what are you doing here?" He asked her with a boyish grin on his lips.
• She chose to ignore him. She shook off the sand from her foot and slid in her sandals before she walked on without even glancing at him.
• "I guess this is my lucky day." She heard him add.
• "Leave me alone." she said in a cold voice while she continued to walk.
• "You know I can't do that. I missed you. Didn't you miss me?" This he asked in a husky voice.
• She grunted without answering him. She started to sing a song inside her head .She didn't want to listen to his bedroom voice which she was sure he used to lure women.
• "Maybe destiny made us meet here .And by the way my nvitation last time still stands. We can have that dinner now. What do you say, Love?”
• She walked faster and she was thankful that she was very near the hotel’s entrance. She needed to get away from him as fast as she could but he was very persistent.
• "Wait Love! Let’s have dinner." he gripped her arm and turned her to him. His face broke into a sexy smile when he saw her face.
• D*mn! She is really lovely! Jett thought.
• Ashley’s face was bare of make-up as usual. But this time not even lip gloss was on her lips .They were the most kissable ones he had ever seen. He had the sudden desire to kiss them.
• "Let me go and will you please stop calling me Love?!" She said angrily while wriggling free from him.
• But when she noticed that they were attracting attention, she stopped resisting his hold. In a cold but low voice, "What do you want from me? Isn't it clear that I am not interested? I don't want to have dinner or even coffee with you! Leave me alone! If you still don’t get it then…read my lips...I ...don't…like you..!" She almost regretted saying that when she saw his face changed.
• His smile disappeared and his lips clumped. She saw a muscle moved in his left jaw and his eyes became steely. His hold on her arm tightened so her face twisted a little.
• "Let go of me!" she rasped but he was just looking at her with an expression that brought chill up her spine.
• They were almost at the entrance of the hotel. She saw two men approaching and she felt a bit relieved.
• "Miss are you okay?” One of them asked.
• She was about to reply but Jett's hand around her arm tightened.
• "If you know what's good for you then you f*ck off!" He said in a very cold voice before turning to the two.
• The men moved back when they saw his face. The shorter man apologized to Jett and walked away quickly. Gaping, Ashley followed them with her eyes.
• "Now where were we Love?" Jett transferred his eyes on her again.“ I’m sorry about that. I just hate f*ck*sses meddling."
