Chapter 524 Back On Track

  • “Previously, Bo Cheng’s kidney was ruptured, and he was on the brink of death, but I had a friend who claimed that it was worth a try to save him. However, the attempt did not have a favorable outcome as there was only a fifty percent chance of survival. I did not dare to use Bo Cheng as an experiment, but I couldn’t just allow him to die before my eyes. Thus, I lied to everyone and allowed all of you to believe that he had died. After that, I secretly did an organ transplant surgery for him. Since the survival rate wasn’t high, I didn’t inform any of you, I was afraid that I might cause another round of disappointment.”
  • Jiang Ling paused before he continued, “After the organ transplant surgery, Cheng’s body showed signs of rejection multiple times, and there were several times where things were looking grim. I even prepared his funeral and did the necessary arrangements. If I didn’t manage to save him, I would kneel in front of the Bo residence’s entrance for forgiveness. I believe that it was a miracle that he survived, but I found out that he lost his memories. He suffered from a brain injury during his fall from the cliff, and throughout these six months, I had been flying over to the hospital in Australia to help him with his rehabilitation. He has made slow progress and only recently gotten better. Nevertheless, I cannot guarantee when his body will reject the organ in the future. After all, it’s not his kidney.”
  • Jiang Ling was afraid that if Bo Cheng was alive now, he might die all of a sudden later. It might become an even larger blow to his family, compared to failing to save him the first time round. He planned to reveal the news once Bo Cheng was completely out of the woods in order to minimize the negative impact on his family.
