Chapter 55 Argument

• If someone had told me in my early twenties that I’d argue with my closest man over a woman, I would have shot them on the spot for the insult. Yet here I was, not only doing just that but outright ignoring a death threat in the process.
• I’d never admit it out loud, but I knew exactly who was behind all this. And that’s exactly where I was headed, my car roaring down the empty highway, speedometer redlining, while my fingers tapped impatiently on the steering wheel.
