Chapter 44 Overcome Temptation

• River's POV
• I had bolted out of the room, unfortunately. It was a shame, really, because I'd narrowly missed out on a night of serious pleasure all because I had to keep my distance from him. Now back in my room, I couldn’t stop replaying the scene in my head, biting my lip in regret.
• "Ugh." I shook my head, trying to erase the thought, and made my way to the bathroom. After a warm shower, I wrapped myself in a towel and approached the wardrobe, searching for something simple to wear, since I wasn’t going anywhere just yet.
