Chapter 26 A Dinner Away

• Nursing my hurt as I walked downstairs of the club, I replayed what had just happened upstairs. He’d told me to defend myself, yet stood by as his friend talked down on me. I was beyond pissed, and if he didn’t avoid me today, he was in for a piece of my mind.
• For the third time today, I bumped into someone else. Why the hell was I so clumsy today? I looked up to apologize and once again, it was him, the man from this morning, now glaring at me.
