Chapter 171

• Jaxon gently helped Serena to sit back on the bed and passed her his handkerchief. She sniffled as he collected it and used it to gently wipe her tears and snot.
• He motioned for Jaxon to pass him the glass of water that was on the bedside drawer. Jaxon took off the lid and passed the water to Serena, she collected it and drank the water in large gulps.
• She held the glass tightly with both hands and rested it on her lap. When Jaxon felt like she had calmed down enough to start talking he started asking her questions.
