Chapter 177 Unconscious State

  • My knees buckled and gave way, causing me to fall to the ground. Hot tears streamed down my cheeks as guards immediately surrounded me. My heart burned as if it were being charred with hot steel. My life was over. My life was over. I could feel the cold hand of death reaching out for me. Darkness pulled me in, calling my name. I had nothing left. And I was no longer willing to fight. My eyes turned towards the door from which I had just been pulled. The doctors were still inside, and no one had come out. Jordan had given up after hearing the news.
  • He had not woken up for a long time, and when he did, that was the first thing he saw. And I wasn't there. Why would he want to live anymore? Was there a point when the woman who gave him a reason to live was gone? I was so sure he wouldn't survive this. What was the purpose of my life? No husband, no son, no daughter-in-law. What was the need to live? It was over, and I was willing to accept it. I was ready to let go of everything I had been holding on to. Wouldn't it be bad to join them?
  • "What is going on?" a familiar voice suddenly echoed in my ears amidst the chaos and the guards surrounding me. I smiled as more tears ran down my cheeks. Her voice was always so beautiful, and I would never be able to hear it again.
