Chapter 153 Unwelcome Guest

  • GENESIS
  • A smile appeared on Nathan’s lips when my mom turned to him and my heart skipped a beat instantly. I could feel eyes on me as well, and I looked around to find Tiffany and Tiana staring back at me with worried expressions. My lips curved into a smile, or rather a smirk, when I saw the worried look on their faces. Were they worried about me? How could they be worried about me when this was all their fault? They had no right to look at me that way when it had been them all along. It was too hypocritical to stare at me worriedly when just a day ago, they hid Nate in their room to have a conversation with me. I looked away from them, seeing no need to speak, not like I had spoken to them at all when I came down. I noticed that the twins were also staring at me with worried expressions, however, I was also very angry at both of them, so I looked away without offering a smirk. It was payback time. I turned to Nate instead, whose gaze was on me and he had what I could say was amusement within them. A creepy feeling settled at the pit of my stomach, and for a second there, I feared what he would do. Then I remembered that my husband knew the truth and he was right next to me at the table. There was no need to be pretentious.
  • “Yes, mom. You have met him once,” I answered the question that had turned the table into a death zone while I went ahead to pick up a glass beside me and took a sip of the red wine inside. All eyes turned to me, shocked at the way I had decided to handle this, including Nate. I surmised that he was up to no good, even when I knew him to not be that way.
