Chapter 123 Violence And Truth
- How could Vivian know about my biological parents?
- Kate asked herself the question for the thousandth time as she jogged down the neighborhood running trail. No matter how she looked at it, it made no sense. It was unthinkable that Arthur, even if he knew something about Kate's biological parents, would have told Vivian and not Eleanor. And if he really did have some information, and for some unimaginable reason could not share it with Eleanor, why not just tell Kate herself?
- The easiest explanation was that Vivian had simply been lying, that she really did not know anything except that Kate might well be drawn in by the chance to find out about her biological parents when she would not be tempted by money. But that did not feel right either. She knew Vivian well, and the older woman had not seemed like she was lying.
