Chapter 40

• After his meeting with Nova, Jace sat in his car, completely distraught. He grabbed his keys and after stamping some cash on the counter, he headed out.
• By the time he got to the street, Nova was nowhere to be seen. She had refused his help to escort and so there was nothing he could do except to hope she found her brother before it was too late.
• Even after a lengthy conversation with her, Jace could barely understand the situation on the ground.
