Chapter 3
- In less than a few hours, Jace had already secured a penthouse and the latest vehicle and some expensive outfits. His life had taken a completely new turn.
- From being a poor, degraded man to becoming a billionaire!
- He smiled as he stood at the balcony of his massive building. Who would have thought he could own all of this?
- As he was still immersed in his thoughts, his phone dinged. He unlocked it and stared at the message or rather the article.
- He let out a wide grin. This had arrived at the appropriate time. Gordon's Enterprise was going bankrupt and was planning on selling their company in order to retain the staff and prevent them from unemployment.
- Jace brushed his lips with the tip of his thumb. This was exactly what was needed. An opportunity to rise above others.
- Still smiling, he threw his phone into his pocket and entered his living room. Grabbing his coat from the couch, he headed out of the house.
- “There is just one thing I need to do,” he said as he walked out into the garage.

- “Why the hell would you want to sell what we have both worked for?” an average height lady asked.
- She tucked her blonde hair behind her ears while speaking, unconcerned about whether her husband was listening. They had been married for a few years, but her husband never considered her his wife. Even though their lives appeared to be going well on the outside, their relationship was rapidly deteriorating.
- “I hate it when you say "we"; you and I both know how hard I worked to get that company to where it is now, okay?” her husband, Elias yelled from where he was sitting, “so you have no right to question me.”
- “Oh wow, is that how you want it to be now?”
- “That is how it has always been, my dear wife,” the man replied, picking up his newspaper from the table beside him.
- She went up to him and snatched the newspaper from his hands, then flinged it to one side of the room.
- “You know what? I won't sit and watch you sell the company, okay?”
- Before the man could utter any other word, his phone rang.
- He picked it up from the table to see a strange number, then looking at his wife with a cold expression, he stood up and began walking towards his office.
- “Yes?–oh yes, about the company–” he continued as he entered his office.

- “It was nice doing business with you Mr. Jace.” A dark haired man dressed in a suit said with a smile as he stretched out his hand towards Jace.
- “The pleasure is all mine, Mr. Elias.” Jace said with a smile and shook the man's outstretched hand.
- It felt nice to be finally addressed as a businessman. After all that was what he was. A wealthy businessman.
- After securing his wealth for hours, Jace realized he had no money left. He smiled. He had successfully completed his task while also accumulating wealth.
- |[Mission Accomplished]
- |[Reward: Unlimited wealth]
- “Wha–” Jace wanted to scream but immediately remembered what happened the last time.
- “Holy shit!”
- He could not believe it, even though it was staring him in the face.
- He was now rich. Richer than he could ever imagine. Apart from that, he had everything at his disposal.
- “–well, except for the penalty thingy.” he muttered to himself as he got into his vehicle and drove off.
- Where would he go from here? he asked himself.
- Then all of a sudden, he swerved the wheels and sped off, having only one place in mind. The clubhouse. He needed to clear his mind and celebrate his new lifestyle.
- The clubhouse was booming and filled with lots of people. Fluorescent colour-changing light bulbs flickered around the room, adding interest to the vibe.
- Jace leaned on the counter table where the bartender, an average muscular guy served him his drink. A pint of tequila.
- He gulped it all down in two seconds, allowing it to rush into his bloodstream.
- “Another one,” Jace ordered as he slammed the glass gently against the countertop.
- While he waited for it, his eyes roved around until it fell on someone familiar. Blonde hair, circle innocent eyes, and a slim figure.
- Was the drink playing a trick on him? he asked himself as he cleared his eyes and looked again.
- Suddenly, she stood up and before he could see where she was heading, the bartender shouted above the blaring music, “Your order, sir!”
- He turned and collected the glass from him, “Thank you,” he said and looked back, but she was gone.
- Few minutes later, he felt a tap at his back, he turned only to meet his ex-wife staring at him with a cold and shocked expression.
- “Vira, I–”
- Before he could continue, Vira raised her hand and gave him a sounding slap.
