Chapter 37

• Veyra's heartbeat quickened as she approached the laboratory. As she stood outside the door, she could hear some faint noises coming from inside. Her heart thumped even harder as she held the door knob.
• She opened it gently and listened. No more sound. There was complete silence; all of the noise had subsided. She then slowly closed the door and turned on the lights.
• Immediately her gaze fell on some young men and ladies amounting to five seated on the floor with their hands tied and their mouths gagged.
