Chapter 5 He's So Hot

  • When I walked downstairs, I noticed Charlotte staring at me. She appeared to be taken aback.
  • 'I'm truly sorry, darling. I fell asleep and didn't hear your calls. 'Please accept my apologies.' I apologized to her, but what she said back was.
  • 'I had no idea you were this attractive,' she exclaimed. 'Wait a minute, why were you dressed so differently today?' She was still staring at me up and down when she inquired. Okay, this was not what I expected. I was anticipating her to yell at me, gripe at me, and then drag me along with her to the party. That's exactly what I expected. But what she's saying right now is unexpected.
  • 'How?' I raised an eyebrow and double-checked my attire.
  • 'You...you simply look so different,' she remarked.
  • 'Really?' I inquired.
  • 'Yes, it was your mother who told you how to dress today.' She inquired.
  • 'No, it wasn't mom,' she said. 'I did it myself,' I said.
  • 'You did it yourself,' she asked again.
  • 'Yeah, I know how to dress myself and I'm not a baby,' I said with a sigh.
  • 'I know you're not a fucking baby, but I'm always the one telling you what to wear and how to dress.' Because you constantly wear blue pants and a blue hoodie with blue sneakers or a blue palm slipper. Boom We are now ready to go. And I'm the one who always drags you to your room and tells you what to wear. I was even expecting you to dress the same way you do when you came here. That's why I dubbed it "Dressing code."
  • Does that even make sense.
  • 'You truly look different, and Charlotte is correct,' Elsa observed as she jumped on top of the sofa.
  • 'All right, enough with being unique and all that. 'Can we leave now?' I inquired. I'm not sure what's wrong with these; all I wore was a black jean, a white designer long sleeve, a wristwatch, and a black canvas. So, what's the big deal here?
  • 'Yeah, we can leave now.' 'Are you sure you did it yourself or did Jack tell you what to wear?' she inquired. This was starting to irritate me.
  • 'Come on, Charlotte,' I say. 'We're running late,' I replied as I began walking towards the door.
  • 'You're going on a date, and you want to leave me at home alone?' Elsa pouted.
  • 'No, we're not going to leave you at home.' 'My mum will be here in three minutes to pick you up,' she added, gazing at her watch. So, go get dressed.' Charlotte stated the following.
  • 'Hooray,' she exclaimed, leaping about and laughing. 'Because mum and Johan are going out on a date. Why not go on a date with Jamal?' She exclaimed, giggling. Jamal, Charlotte's younger brother, is eight years old. The youngster can be difficult, headstrong, and nasty at times, but he's a good boy, and I'm sure he's the one who taught Elsa how to know the word "Pervert."
  • 'Keep quiet, Elsa, you're too young to start dating right now,' I scolded as Charlotte tugged me to the door. 'This is not the time to lecture her; you do that when you return. Otherwise, mom would come here and start questioning us, which I don't want. 'Shall we go?' We got into her car and headed to the party together.
  • When we arrived to the party. The place was teeming with people. There were a lot of people drinking and kissing in some dark areas. Some were shaking each other's waists, and the music was so loud that it hurt my ears. I got out of the car with Charlotte and looked around, and before I knew it, Ava and Jack were approaching me.
  • 'How are you, man?' 'How come you look so cool?' Jack responded, motioning for me to turn around so he could see me well. 'Charlotte, you dressed him pretty well,' he observed.
  • You look very great,' Ava replied with a nod.
  • I snorted.
  • 'She didn't clothe me; I did it myself,' I explained.
  • 'Wait a minute, guy.I didn't realize you could dress now,' he taunted, and this is was when Ava responded. 'You look good, buddy.'
  • She offered me a smile and a thumbs up.
  • 'All right, let's walk inside the karaoke and start blasting some music.'
  • She exclaimed gleefully as she sprang the wood cover from the wine bottle, splattering it all over us, and we all laughed.
  • I'm not sure how Charlotte got a wine bottle.
  • When we entered the karaoke area, there were a lot of people speaking, and some of them acknowledged me and went about their business.
  • I found a seat, as did the others including a guy named Keith. 'How are you, my nigga?' He smiled and displayed his pearly teeth in greeting. I've seen him before, but I'm not sure where.
  • 'I'm fine, bro.' I responded.
  • 'You're sitting here, aren't you?' He inquired, and I nodded.
  • 'Do not allow anyone else to sit here.' 'Someone's here, man,' he continued, and I nodded while still smiling.
  • 'OK, everybody listen up,' Charlotte yelled at the top of her lungs, and practically everyone turned to face her. It's always a mystery to me how she gets the courage to speak in public. If it were up to me, I couldn't do it.
  • 'Someone is going to sing for us, and the best singer gets $500?' She yelled, and everyone applauded and cheered for her.
  • How about we make it 800 dollars,' one of the girls suggested. This girl certainly appears to be a slut.
  • 'Why don't we make it $1,000,' another girl suggested out of nowhere. This one is even worse; is this some sort of rainbow party?
  • 'All right, let's stop at that price, and it's $1,000.' Charlotte yelled, and everyone erupted in joy and cheering.
  • 'All right, I'll quit now.' Let's pick a singer. 'Who's going to sing for us?' Charlotte inquired, and everyone began shouting "Keith."
  • Keith, I wondered. Does he know how to sing?
  • Then, seemingly out of nowhere, someone yelled. 'Haru. Allow him to sing, and I'll vote for him.'
  • 'Me too, let Haru sing,' another youngster said.
  • 'I had no idea I was also quite popular here,' That voice is familiar to me.
  • When I turned to face the door, it was Haru. He was giddy with joy, holding a microphone on his phone. He's so hot.
