Chapter 7 Can't Get Him Out My Mind(Part Two)

  • Keith rose to his feet, took the microphone, and inhaled and exhaled. Is he nervous or what? Now that I think about it, Jack didn't use a microphone; instead, he used his voice to sing.
  • Then Keith started singing with the tone playing in the room.

  • When they finished singing, the entire room fell silent.
  • He has such a lovely voice; I had no idea he could sing. I've heard this Japanese song before, either in an anime or on a show. I'm still trying to remember where I heard it before. I had no idea he was this hot. Oh my gosh. I've been saying he's hot all the time, and I keep reminding myself that he's a guy, not a girl. But he's so amazing and incredible that I'm at a loss for words. He's sexy right now, and I'm not sure what I should do to get him out of my head. What's the point of it all, I wondered. It was a bad idea to come here for karaoke. I'd been here for a while and all I could think about was Haru.
  • Why is he always on my mind? I drank another beer and finished the bottle in one gulp, not caring if it burned in my throat. At the very least, this will keep me from thinking about Haru. But even as I drink the bottle, Haru is still on my mind.
  • Everyone was chatting amongst themselves; I don't even know who won because I was too busy drinking. I'd already drank two bottles and was about to take another when I noticed someone holding my arm and looked up. It was Ava, she gripped my arm so tightly and dragged me up, but I staggered.
  • "Stop drinking, Johan; you've had enough." I overheard Ava saying.
  • "No, I still want more,"
  • "I won't let you, take another one. And that's final.' She finished her sentence.
  • Before I knew it, she had escorted me out of the room and placed me on the floor outside the party.
  • "Do you require water?" she inquired.
  • "No," I said. I'm still trying to open my eyes while resting my back on the wall outside the party.
  • "You seem bothered; is there something wrong?" she inquired, concerned. How does she know whenever I'm bothered, and sometimes I wonder if she's always watching me?
  • "No, there's nothing wrong," I said, lying.
  • "Are you certain?"
  • "Yes, but..."
  • "I think I'm in love with someone," I admitted, my eyes racing. What the hell am I talking about? "Or maybe...I just have lust for that person, and that...that's... that's..." Before I knew it, I had blacked out and was hearing a lot of noises.
  • Something smelt good, so I turned around and realized my bed wasn't this soft. When I stood up, my head began to hurt all of a sudden. It's as if they were playing football on my head and scoring goals. It was excruciatingly painful. I was holding my head with my hands when I heard something.
  • "'Drink this coffee, I mixed it with painkillers,' I said as I took a cup of coffee, but wait a minute, I recognize that voice. When I looked up, it was Jack.
  • "You were extremely inebriated last night.' He burst out laughing.
  • "'It's not funny,' I said.
  • "I'm aware, and by the way. 'What caused you to drink so much?' He inquired, placing his hand on my brow. "'Man, you're getting better.' He sounded at ease.
  • "Yeah,' I drank the coffee, and it was delicious.
  • Then I remembered my mother and everyone else. "Jack, did you call my...?" "Yes, I called your mother and told her you wanted to stay at my house, and she agreed." And Charlotte wanted to take you to her house, but I told her not to worry, and she called again this morning. I told her you were fine, and Ava inquired about your well-being and...'
  • His explanations were causing severe headaches in my head; why can't he just slow down? "'Stay quiet?' I asked solemnly.
  • "And Haru,' he finished his sentence, and I stared at him.
  • "Haru?'
  • "Yes, Haru was concerned about you as well, and he was the one who carried you to my car in the first place,' he explained.
  • Haru saw me in this state, I had no idea. This is so embarrassing.
  • "And...' Jack kept saying what he was saying. "And he said he was coming over to check on you?'
  • "'He's on his way,' I exclaimed.
  • "He'll be here, of course. Why are you reacting in this manner?' He inquired, suspiciously.
  • "'Nothing,' I replied, nervously scratching my head. What is he coming here for?
  • "'It's anything, wrong Johan,' he asked, looking me in the eyes.
  • "No, there isn't anything wrong. Why?'
  • "'You've been quiet and withdrawn since that night at the party,' he observed.
  • Was I really that obvious? What's wrong with me, and why am I so happy that Haru is coming to see me? And I'm not sure what his motives are in the first place.
  • Why am I feeling this way, towards Haru. This feelings, its like I want to stay with Haru. Why do I feel this way, I can't even tell Jack about this. He will snap.
