Chapter 57 Don't Make The Same Mistake
- MAE.
- It was late in the night. I was sitting beside my sister. Her gaze was intense. I felt my heart racing so fast, unable to control the fear I was feeling. I tried to calm my nerves, feeling the need to say something as I sat down while admiring her every feature. I felt like things might never be the same for me again as I watched her silently on the cold night. I recalled the way I had warned her not to be irrational because she knew perfectly well that coming to rescue her father would jeopardize not only her but the people around her. I felt her pain as she closed her eyes without blinking.
- With a deep sigh, I stood up from the bed. I could feel the room getting hotter. I decided to go out and get some fresh air because I felt like my body had failed me. I tried to calm my nerves. It was like things were happening so fast when I felt a presence rush past me, causing cold shivers to run down my spine. I lifted my gaze to see who it was, but there was no one, which made me feel even more scared. I decided to go back to the room because I knew that we had decided to bring Lyraea to this pack, where she would be carefully monitored and no one would know that we were special, especially Rhain.
