Chapter 33 Against My Wish
- LYRAEA.
- I was panting; I closed my eyes while trying to catch my breath. My heart almost leapt out of my throat when I heard the voice of Rhain again. He emanated a very deadly figure behind him, which whispered something to him. My mouth was hung open as I watched what unfolded right in front of my eyes; he had a weird smile that made him look even creepier. I was trying not to look vulnerable; I'm so fucking vulnerable because I can't feel my wolf at the moment; it was like she was not there no matter how I called on her.
- "Lyraea, you don't need to hide from me. I know that you are close to me; your scent lingers in the air, and I can smell your fear, your gentle sobs that you are trying to hold back. Don't worry, hun, but believe that I won't hurt you; I won't touch a hem of your shirt, not to talk of the strain of your hair," he said with a smile lingering on his face. I was trying to calm my nerves while hoping that things would turn a new leaf; my body felt so weak, not knowing how to explain the feeling. I was trying to calm my nerves; my heart was racing so fast, and many uncalled thoughts ran through my mind. I took a deep breath, tears almost slipping down my cheeks, but I knew I had to control the strong urge to make a sound.
