• My eyes were closed as I struggled so hard to get out of the situation. I almost threw up. I felt very sick, and my heart raced frantically against my rib cage. I took a deep breath while trying to calm my nerves, many thoughts running through my mind when I recalled Rhain was there in the forest and he was conversing with other pack members; his seriousness made cold shivers run down my spine as he continued talking with them. There was something that he said that really alerted me, and I couldn't help the feeling.

I lifted my gaze to see who it was and who just did that. My heart sank when I noticed a man who seemed to be around his thirties. He poured a powdery substance on my face. I coughed. Suddenly, my eyes felt heavy, and I fell to the ground, and I blacked out. My heart was beating so fast, wondering why Rhain would have gone to that level.
