Chapter 21 Twenty Two
- Tori’s voice called from the other side of the door and we groaned in unison, his hands pausing at my second button. Shane shot me a frustrated look, his earlier needy look replaced by irritation.
- “Yeah, I’ll be out in a minute!” he replied, his tone frustrated as he moved away from me, ruffling his hair. “Shit—What a bummer right?” He chuckled, his breath coming in rags.
- “Make it quick. I don't think Miss Winston will like to be kept waiting.” Tori warned, her footsteps fading down the hallway. I let out a shaky breath, trying to calm my throbbing heart. “Well, that was unfortunate timing,” I replied, forcing a laugh to break the tension that still hung in the air.
