Chapter 25 Friends again

• Seven months later, Lizzy gave birth to a baby boy but the DNA test results were no match to Tresh who went absolutely crazy. It took restraining by his brother and Big G for him not to strangle Lizzy whom once cornered and afraid of lawsuits and Tresh’s anger, confessed that Tresh never slept with her. While he indeed flirted with her and invited her to his hotel suite, he was too high when they got there and slept soundly until Amaya came knocking the following morning. She was already pregnant when she met Tresh at the party but her boyfriend was unemployed, and she always fantasied of having a baby with Tresh, that’s why she decided to take advantage of the fact that he would be unlikely to remember what happened. Tresh’s fans were livid when they found out, Lizzy soon discovered just how crazy Tresh’s fans could get. She was cyber bullied and even had multiple restraining orders against people she never even met. Tresh was initially hopeful that Amaya would forgive him once it became clear that he never cheated on her but Amaya still wanted nothing to do with him. Amaya still felt that Tresh did not listen to her when she warned him about Red and even though he did not sleep with Lizzy, he intended to but was too stoned to act on his desires. Tresh, dejected turned to drugs again. With his wealth, he could get his hands on every sort of drug he wanted and off course his new best friend supplied him every time. Once he started leaving his mansion, he was forever surrounded by new opportunistic friends whom he spent a fortune on and woke up with a different women every single day.
• It was two months later when Dolly could not take it anymore and ended up shouting at her seemingly deaf son. Too upset, she started gasping and spent the next week in hospital recovering from a heart attack. This was a wake up call for Tresh who almost lost his mother. He checked himself into a rehabilitation facility as soon as his mother was discharged. His fans were thrilled by the idea and sent him endless words of encouragement. Soon his fans were calling for a live coverage of his rehabilitation process and suggested that it would be a good lesson for the youth to stay away from drugs and encourage other drug addicts to seek help before it was too late. Critics who felt the whole sensationalism was a waste soon got a shock because Tresh’s rehabilitation journey was soon the most talked about television show. The directors got to know what his sponsors already knew that Tresh was actually a gold mine but this time it was not only his fans who were crazy about the show but fans of the other stars who showed up to visit him. Blaze, Big G and Zane were constant visitors, some were artists Tresh did collaborations with in the past, then there were multiple international artists he worked with while abroad. The more artist who came, the rest showed just to be counted and be seen as his friends because it was free publicity and everyone knew that anyone associated with Tresh soon became famous too. While Tresh’s journey was all exciting to him and everyone at first, realty started sinking in once the drugs were completely off his system. He started getting depressed once he started thinking about his baby, Amaya and the billions he waisted on drugs alone. The rehabilitation psychologists tried their best but Tresh had soon shut everyone out and refusing to do anything, including eating. Afraid that he might hurt himself on live television, discussions were held on whether to stop the show but many felt that it was an important process for everyone to witness the challenging journey to get one clean again. It was off course also a money making mine for others. Daniel and Tresh’s friends were thrilled when Amaya showed up unexpectedly. She was following his rehabilitation journey on the show and could not stay away and watch him suffer anymore. She opened the door and found Tresh looking unkempt and laying on the unmade bed in his rehabilitation centre suite.
