Chapter 32 Lovestruck puppy

• Azure woke up tired and cranky. Now nine months pregnant, she had turned and tossed in bed the whole night because she could not find a comfortable position to sleep. She dragged her swollen feet to the bathroom for a quick shower. If it was up to her she would stay at home but it was Daniel’s wedding, as a sister-in-law she was expected to attend even though he and his wife-to-be did not like her. Leading to the day, she was already irritated by the many conversations she overheard between Tresh and his mother. Dolly was obviously very excited and involved in planning Daniel and Becky’s wedding while she did not lift a finger with hers. In fact Dolly point blank refused to even take a photo with them on their wedding nor has she visited their home since they got married but she has seen posts of her dining with Becky several times. Coming out of the shower, she put on her custom made designer maternity dress but it did not do much to improve her self esteem. Constantly getting insulted by strangers on social media had a huge knock on her confidence. All she saw when she looked at the mirror was her 70 kilogram ballooned body, puffy eyes and big nostrils. She was forced to wear the flat shoes she hated because her swollen feet would not fit in her favourite stilettos. She really hated being pregnant. She felt even worse when she walked into the lounge and found Tresh looking all sexy and hot in his best man suit that fitted him like a glove and accentuated his masculine physique. He will definitely turn heads at the wedding while she looked all puffed up, she thought and braced herself for the mean remarks his fans will make about her afterwards. Tresh’s compliment did not do much to lift her self esteem either, these days she felt that he was just being polite when complimenting her.
• At Lilly town state department, Detectives Lucas More and Peter were working as fast as they could to compile a list of potential targets of Billy, the serial killer and psychopath prisoner who was convicted to life in prison for his crimes. Billy had escaped custody that morning after overcoming the prison guard and taking his weapon. In just an hour after his escape, Billy had broken into the judge’s home that convicted him, shot him on the head, killing him instantly. Now out in the wind, the Detectives had to find him before he killed more people.
• “This guy is a loner, he could target anyone but on top of the list will be me because I arrested him, his ex girlfriend who testified against him at the trial and the state lawyer who tried him,” Detective Peter told his captain who was breathing down their necks.
