Chapter 65 The Strange Creature

• “What the hell are you talking about? I'm not going to stand here and watch you sprout lies about my parents!” Claire said through gritted teeth.
• “You need to believe me, Claire. It's a long story. Haven't you wondered how you became a hybrid when your parents aren't one? The truth is right in front of your eyes but you are just in denial. I know you have been thinking about the possibilities lately. Alyssa and Enrique didn't birth you, Claire.” Leila said in a low voice, knowing Claire was seconds away from breaking down.
• Claire's heart felt heavy as tears stung her eyes. “You are lying. Tell me it's a lie!” She choked out a yell, feeling her heart shatter into million pieces. How was she supposed to feel when she just found out that her parents weren't really her parents. She felt confused, lost and hurt. Was she that bad that her real parents didn't want her? A part of her already saw it coming. She knew there was no way she could be a hybrid if her parents weren't. It was a sad painful truth that had haunted her ever since her parents died.
