• After Valerie and I were done seeing Tania, Damien, Jamie and Carrie called my attention. We all went to my office. I pulled Valerie to sit on my laps, while Carrie went to the couch. Jamie and Damien took the seat facing me.
• My hand were around Valerie's waist, soothingly rubbing her sides. I knew that she was shaken by her encounter with Tania, but I only allowed it because she deserved to know what happened with her parents.
