Chapter 46 The Case

Valerie's POV
My heart was pounding violently against my ribcage, my palms sweaty and my body colder than usual as I stood face to face with Ronald. The memories came flooding down my head, threatening to drown me, but I would not let it. I would be here and I will see this man exposed, I would witness his embarrassment and watch him punished.
"Oh, sweetie, you can't go about throwing rape accusations. You might have climbed the social ladder, find yourself becoming a Luna soon, but that does not give you the right to tell such blatant lies." Ronald yelled, the same cold voice he used to threaten me, the same voice he used to instill fear in me, while I stay in a room, waiting for the worst to happen.
