• He shook his head “My father isn’t going to feed on you. You are safe with him,” he says cooly. I opened my mouth to protest but snapped it shut on second thoughts. I knew this day would come when I’d have to face the former alpha. I sent him a look of betrayal before climbing out the vehicle and walking to the front porch. I could still feel his eyes pinned on my back until I was no longer in view.
