Chapter 150
- “Don’t worry about Slade. Your mate is a skilled fighter. When they said he can take out an entire army on his own, they weren’t exaggerating,” his eyes were growing cold as the gunshots outside intensified and I remembered one of the men who had been singing praises to him just minutes ago. “He’s the strongest alpha. He can take care of himself and his pack, but don’t let him have to worry about you. He needs to know that you are safe. It will break him if you went out there,” Marcel supplied “The last thing he needs now is a distraction. So I am going to go out there, and leave you two here to handle those in the penthouse,” he looked from me to Audrey. Audrey glared at him, but I knew he had a point.
- “Please,” he added when neither of us have him a response. I nodded my head slowly but Audrey didn’t say anything. She crossed her hands over her chest and continued to glare at him.
- He pulled away, and whispered something into one of the warriors ears. The warrior nodded and disappeared upstairs. Xaria was growling in my head. Our mate was in danger and we were expected to just seat here. It isn’t fair at all. How can I be at peace knowing Slade was out there? I could still hear the sound of gunshots fired in the air. Sapphire and her crew came prepared. Her mate was to be hung by midnight and everything was already set up for his execution somewhere in the middle of Dark Wolf.
