• “This isn’t my business,” I whispered to myself, but my instinct told me otherwise. I moved to pick up the phone, and the message was from an unknown number. How much of Sapphire did I really know? We grew up together and I have seen her risk her life for me on many occasions, not once did I doubt her, but do I really know her so well?
• Surprisingly, her phone didn’t have a lock. The message read ‘WHERE ARE YOU?’ in cap locks, but the contents of the message didn’t bother me as much as the picture on her phone wallpaper. It was a picture of the two of us taken many years ago. I should have been fifteen in that picture and she was much younger. My arms hung around her neck while she smiled into the camera. That picture was taken almost ten years ago and I’d forgotten about it. Why is it her wallpaper?
